To be quite honest, I had never really thought of trying an oil based lubricant. I have always found myself gravitating towards water-based lubes because I thought these products were what worked best for my body and my needs. Besides, I was never the type of person that needed much lube in the first place. As someone whose body is very sensitive to perfumes and other skin irritants, finding a lube that does not irritate my body or dry up very quickly has been a challenge to say the least. I have always been very aware of the products I choose to put on and in my body—choosing products that are natural and organic. After all, the last thing you want is to stop what you’re doing because of a bad reaction to the products you’re using.
What first impressed me with Yes Oil-Based Intimate Lubricant was that the product is 99.8% organic, hypoallergenic, and gynecologist recommended. Not to mention the product is free of parabens, glycerin, hormones, or known irritants. This signaled to me that this product is one that I could use without worry or anxiety. It passed the initial test. Not only are the ingredients completely body safe for those of us with sensitivities, but the packaging is quite nice and the 40ml bottle was perfect for travelling and for having on hand. The Yes Oil-Based Intimate lube also doubles as massage oil, which is great! Why buy separate lube and massage oil products when you can buy a product that can be used as both!
With this product, a little goes a long way! The Yes Oil-Based Lubricant did not cause any discomfort or irritation to my skin when used both as a lube or massage oil and its rich oils and butters nourished and conditioned my skin, giving long lasting lubrication and glide. I did not have to reapply the product—what I initially used was enough. Though, of course, this may vary from person to person.
A few things to keep in mind while using this product is that oil-based lubes can cause latex to break down. This is important to consider if you are applying oil-based lube to any latex barriers you might be using such as condoms, dental damns and gloves. Pairing these barriers with an oil-based lube will reduce their effectiveness which will be counterproductive to you using them in the first place. When using these barriers, I would recommend opting for a water-based lubricant or a silicone based lubricant to ensure that the latex does not break down. The Yes Oil-Based Intimate Lubricant is safe to use with silicone toys, though do keep in mind that the lubricant may break down your toys that are made of latex or contain latex as well. Latex aside, this product is versatile, long lasting and body safe. This product has since become a go-to for me. Definitely worth a try as both a lubricant and a massage oil for those of you with sensitivities!
NOTE from WICKED WANDA’S Staff: YES Oil-based Lubricant is also amazing for masturbation!
