This is an educational session for women over 40, transitioning through menopause
or in postmenopause, who received limited education on what happens to their
bodies in this stage of life. It will offer tips for how to leverage everyday habits and
self-care to optimize their midlife health, how to navigate healthcare options, and
how to protect oneself from exaggerated health claims and discern the best
evidential strategies for them. The objective is for women to leave feeling
empowered and trusting their own bodies and minds, to confidently advocate for
their health and what they want for themselves.
Participants will learn:
• Foundations: the education you didn’t get from your mom or sex ed;
• Why menopause leaves many women vulnerable to false/hyped claims;
• How to spot health claims and find credible health information;
• A method to discern correct health strategies for you using your intuition;
• Who is qualified to support your midlife health and beyond;
• Evidence-based high-impact lifestyle hacks for optimal aging women’s
health, notably strength training
Exercises/Practices:
• The session will work through a simple example of searching the evidence
behind a health claim.
• Participants will be guided in a 5-10min meditation to experience filtering their
health decisions through their intuition.
• Participants will be led in a mini strength training workout (15min) to
experience the feeling of challenging their muscles with resistance.
• Participants will receive a cheat sheet outlining the key principles and take-
aways of the session, along with local menopause certified health practitioners and various health professionals to meet women’s midlife needs.

the research, claims and opinions surrounding menopause and women’s health. She
was a health economist and researcher for 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry,
before creating her business during COVID, reconciling her own health experiences
